Frequently asked questions

We can provide care in either a home or institutional environment. We are able to look after the needs of any care recipient who can no longer take care of themselves. Our services may include medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, grooming, bathing assistance, or simple joyful companionship.

Blessing Support provides a standard minimum of four hours per visit. Please contact us if you require fewer hours per visit.

In-Home or In the facilities senior care costs vary depending on the needs of individual requirements, the duration of the visits, and the experience and qualifications required to meet specific needs.

Please contact us for our current rates.

The main benefit derived from in-home care is the ability to maintain independence and being in the comfort of your home. Staying in familiar surroundings and maintaining a lifestyle. Having your own pets and maintaining the routing are also positive.

Retirement residences varies enormously in what they offer. Quality of accommodation and services differs from place to place. Some retirement homes may provide access to social activities and facilities that may not be available at home.

Whether you choose to stay at home or in a retirement residence, Blessing Support can provide the service that you need.

Personal support workers (PSWs) care for people who are ill, elderly or need help with daily tasks. PSW make sure clients are comfortable, safe and enjoy emotional and physical well-being. PSW may work for a long-term care facility or in clients’ homes as an employee of a home care agency. PSW may also be called a personal aide, home support worker, or personal care attendant.

Generally, PSWs:

  • Care for people and families during periods of illness or recovery.
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients and help them move, bathe, groom and get dressed and undressed.
  • Plan and prepare meals.
  • Teach new parents to care for an infant.
  • Change non-sterile dressings and give oral medications as instructed by your home care agency or supervisor.
  • Help with light housekeeping – for example, do laundry, wash dishes and make beds.
  • Spend time talking with your clients.
